The first-person shooter was then released for MS-DOS and later as a digital download on Steam and GoG after the indexing was lifted. The debut of the 3D Realms series (Duke Nukem, among others) caused a sensation in 1997: due to the explicit depictions of violence, the Federal Testing Agency for Writings Harmful to Young People had indexed the game - that was until 2016, when the indexing was lifted prematurely in November. Shadow Warrior 3 catapults the relentless shooter series to the next level - with an explosive mixture of fast-paced shooting fun, sharp-edged melee combat and a spectacular, free movement system. Development studio Flying Wild Hog and its publisher Devolver Digital have announced that Shadow Warrior 3 is available now for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
